Ohio State Still Made The Right Decision To Not Start Joe Burrow

Yeah, he had the best single season in college football history. There's absolutely no question about it. Heisman winner....National Champion....broke every record in the book....and now he's going to be the #1 overall pick. Joe Burrow might go down as the best college football player ever. And I'm very proud of him and very happy for him. But in no way does that mean Ohio State made the wrong decision with him when they chose to start Dwayne Haskins and let Joe Burrow walk.

First of all, the Buckeyes have lost a total one ONE regular season football game in the last two years. At Purdue. Other than that, we're a mere 23-0, with another two Big Ten Championships, 2-0 vs. Michigan, have a Rose Bowl victory, and got a spot in the College Football Playoff. 128 of the 130 teams in NCAA Division 1 would KILL for numbers like that. And yet, people are going to sit on the couch and talk about how dumb Ohio State is for letting Joe Burrow go to LSU and win a National Championship.

And regardless, I'm actually happier with the quarterbacks we got out of the situation. If you think Dwayne Haskins had ANYTHING to do with why the Buckeyes didn't win the title last year, you're crazy. All he did was throw for for 4800 yards and 50 touchdowns last year. The problem was our defense couldn't stop a nosebleed, which is why we had to beat Maryland 52-51 in overtime. Haskins was the better QB last year. Urban Meyer made the right decision.

And now we have Justin Fields. Gosh, can't believe we're stuck with Justin Fields. All he did this year was 13-1 as a starter, account for 51 touchdowns, and make it to New York as a Heisman finalist. And oh yeah, he's coming back for more next year. Two years of Justin Fields is better than having Joe Burrow for one. And that's a FACT.

So yeah, at the end of the day, we did not win a National Championship in the last two years. Joe Burrow did. But if you think I lost one second of sleep over watching LSU win the title last night then you're crazy. Everyone involved made the right decision.
